Sea Lion Activities
Sea Lion performance has been one of the main attractions of Colombo zoo since its arrival here on May 2003, “Chakku” a baby Sea Lion came from Japan had adapted fast to the environment. Our staff trainer had trained this animal within three months of it's arrival.

Botanical Garden
Colombo Zoo is famous for its huge tree cover and well landscaped garden. To provide more natural habitats some lawns of the Zoo have been converted into small forest patches which are rich in rare plants. Valuable medicinal plants are prominent among the trees in these patches.
